House: House (1500 square feet) has two bathrooms, large, open kitchen and living room, master bedroom and two additional rooms that could be used for bedrooms or an office. Home has solar electric, a cactus garden out front, and a fenced-in backyard with gardening space and fruit trees. House is fully furnished with all standard kitchen appliances, a washer and drier, and three bikes. House has a land-line and internet. House is located on a street with no outlet so traffic is minimal.

Location: The home is located in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains, only a 5-min walk from the Fall Creek section of Henry Cowell State Park with hiking trails through the redwood forest. It is located within walking distance (0.5 miles) of the town of Felton – dining, shopping, Farmer’s Market available, and public transit. The home is also within walking/biking distance of the San Lorenzo Valley elementary, middle, and high schools, all of which are highly ranked. It is a 15 min. drive to Santa Cruz and 20 min. to the UCSC campus; there is a vanpool directly from Felton to UCSC. It is a 45 min. drive to San Jose.

Pets: We are hoping that the renter will be willing to care for our one friendly cat. We also have three chickens which we can leave or not, as preferred by the renter. Additional pets are negotiable; our cat is used to living with a dog.

Other: We have an older 5-seat sedan that we are willing to include as part of the house rental if needed.
