Moving to Melbourne

We are moving from Hamilton, ON to Melbourne, Australia in June for a position at the University of Melbourne. We're a family of 2 adults, 2 kids aged 4 & 7. Looking for 2 or 3 bedroom accommodation for June 2013 while we find permanent housing, preferably in the inner suburbs if possible. All ideas welcome!

I am in Melbourne right now, doing a research fellowship at the University of melbourne until june. I want to rent an appartment, but it is hard to find anything for short stays.
Would you like to rent something together? I would stay until june 2nd and you would take it from there. I also have two kids and I want an apartment close to the university of melbourne - 2 or 3 bedrooms (based on the high price of apartments here I beleive that a 2 bedrooms is more likely).
